Are you finding life's situations disturbing and maybe you need somewhere to hide – so to speak? Are you hiding yourself in your work or your room or even pleasure? Hide yourself in God and He will take care of you.

Each day, take a little time to come aside with Him and rest – do nothing but relax with Him and fix your focus on Him and you together and you will find comfort and strength in that quiet still place. This is the sure place of refuge that scripture speaks about – it will become your haven of rest.

In all life's situations you can go there and find rest for your soul. He will take care of you and you will find rest from work because you cease from you labors and your mind is in rest mode. Your room will become a place of peace instead of unrest with disturbing thoughts – your emotions become healthier because you've found a better place of retreat. You cease to be a slave to pleasure because you will find true pleasure: a place of wholeness instead of addiction to happiness and a place of Joy that is independent of circumstances.

Hiding yourself in your work, your room or pleasure leads to imbalances you don't want, and can sometimes be upsetting to your love ones, because they feel left out or maybe they are really concerned for you. God says that His ways are a refuge for us – that give us wisdom and strength in life's situations – His Presence is a sure place of refuge. We need a balance of both. Make that your solution in this time of need. First, start with His Presence – you can't go wrong – you will become a truly wise person and you will find the answers to your needs for He may even speak to you. Whatever, you will find comfort for He is a sure solace.

The people of Israel in Moses' day said "No, you seek The Lord for us...He's too awesome!" But now Jesus has removed those LAWS - that proved to be a hindrance - by His Work on the Cross. We are Saved from that system. I've a question to ask you: why do we allow another man/men run our ship? We are all given a life to watch over as Adam was given a garden. That was his garden to ENJOY as long as he watched over it. (taken from the Living Free page).

UPDATE 20th JULY 2014.

Although there has not been many comments about this topic, I feel to leave it here because of it's importance and also relevance Today with so many 'awesome' type Televangelists and Visiting Preachers. Many evangelical and pentecostal ministers expect you to be answerable to them and claim to be your covering when scripture clearly refers to The Lord Himself as our covering. He does not make mistakes like man; He is the One sinless Example and Advocate; He watches over us 24 Hrs a day; He has a high opinion of us in His Son; He is more able to evaluate the plans and decisions we make according to His overall Plan for our lives.....often He sees our potential and calling more clearly - sometimes in a totally different light than your pastor etc He knows you far more intimately.

Sometimes He needs the voices of others out the way so He can have a better say, so to speak.

Is that you perhaps, can you relate to that? How clearly can we hear Him, we need to ask ourselves more often. Then we can ENJOY this Garden He has given each one of us_ and He can Enjoy it also. That has been His intention since He made us. YES. Man makes things so complicated. Keep it simple.

This means taking the Initiative to decide what goes into each day rather than coasting along putting up with everything that comes your way. Some people put more into a day than others, by choice....you can choose what goes into a day that makes for more quality in a day and how you live it. If practiced every day, this will make for a better quality of life for you and your love ones too because they will benefit as well. (taken from the Reigning in Life page). A practical application.

EXCERPTS FROM THE REIGNING IN LIFE PAGE!

1. Some people put more effort into life than others and this often determines our out-come in life.....a week or a year. Those with certain personality types or upbringing have more motivation and choices can come more natural to them.... the rest of us need to reach a place of awareness and put a considerable amount of effort into it. Mind-sets need to be renewed and habits need to change in order for us to live a better quality life too. We can achieve this because we have "Christ in us the Hope of Glory" and "We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us"__ He can impart strength for this task in such a way that turns out for His Glory because "God Moves in our moving" better than when we are stationary.

2. Be careful what you carry to the next day_ reserve the "role-over" effect for Good things rather than those things that would deficit the good things in the following day. Each day has the potential for good and "not so good" and we can reserve the right to monitor what attitudes and feelings we give way to and allow to influence our day. If practiced every day, you can have a good life and a certain sense of Freedom just by adopting this principle alone. I've proven it.

I know that there is some good preaching on Reigning in Life. For me, I find the Practical important too. Sometimes we need to step beyond theories, no matter how scriptural they are in preaching and make them truly spiritual. Often, it's the 'little principles' in scripture - seemingly irrelevant - that make all the difference. The power of choice and purpose in our day makes for a satisfying day AND reigning in life. Such things are woven through the fabric of OT and NT scriptures.
